LIFFE CONNECT® is the world's most advanced electronic trading platform. It was designed and developed by the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) to replace its open outcry trading floor.

Outside Liffe, LIFFE CONNECT® has also been adopted by the Chicago Board of Trade and the Tokyo International Financial Futures Exchange.

Unique Open Design

LIFFE CONNECT® features an open system architecture. An Application Program Interface (API) allows users to build or purchase trading or view only applications to suit their specific business needs. Traders commonly do this via one of the many front-end trading applications which have been developed by Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). These applications are personalised trading screens that link the user to the market via a chosen network. This offers the potential to integrate front/back office trading, settlement, risk management and order routing systems. Customers commonly trade derivatives and cash markets on the same screen.
