Successful 22nd Annual Conference

AFM 2019 Chicago our 22nd Annual Conference has been acclaimed as one of the most successful, if not the most successful, on record.

Held over 2 days in the historic Palmer House we were privileged to present 4 stellar keynote speakers and 6 panels made up of current market leaders and experts.

Our thanks therefore to Terry Duffy, Walt Lukken, Leo Melamed and Richard Sandor for their contributions which gave us a historic, current and forward view of the futures industry. Being in Chicago, the epicentre of the industry gave added relevance to the words of wisdom which the cross industry gathering of international delegates totally appreciated.

The panels addressed some of the key aspects impacting the markets today and likely to have an effect in the coming years. With topics including traditional and digital/crypto markets, emerging as well as established exchange markets, regulation and clearing the conference witnessed lively discussion on a comprehensive range of contemporary issues.

Special thanks also to our sponsors CME Group, TAIFEX, Wedbush Futures, CQG and Keler CCP whose support laid the foundations for the conference.

It is reassuring to report that after 22 conferences the AFM goes from strength making it a relevant platform in the global market. This was reflected in Chicago where we were pleased to recognise the addition of 2 new members Uzbek Commodity Exchange, Connamara Systems and Bolsa Agropecuaria de Nicaragua.

In closing the conference it was announced after 4 years on a world tour encompassing Turkey, Argentina, Thailand and the United States AFM 2020 will be held in Europe with a host exchange and venue to be announced in the coming weeks.
