AFM entered the Zoom generation on 18th May with our inaugural online roundtable discussion group

AFM entered the Zoom generation on 18th May with our inaugural online roundtable discussion group. Some 24 participants joined the meeting to share the impact of Covid-19 in their markets both financial and in the community as a whole together with their hopes and thoughts for the future. It was interesting to hear that there is a good amount of common ground across our members which also helped to highlight the local unique experiences. With panellists from Africa (Nairobi Securities Exchange and the JSE), Asia (Stock Exchange Thailand, Jakarta Futures Exchange and Pakistan Mercantile Exchange) , The Americas (MaTBA ROFEX) and Europe (Belarussian Commodities Exchange) and additional statistics from TAIFEX, Iran Mercantile, TGE Poland, Sofia Commodities Exchange and Uzhbek Universal Commodities Exchange this was a truly global event across multiple asset classes for which we thank all involved.  Looking ahead it’s a case of watch this space as we will have a second round later this year.
